Welcome to my Southern Seminary Systematic Theology III Preview Course. I look forward to walking with you through the doctrines of the Holy Spirit [Unit 1], Salvation [Unit 2], The Church [Unit 3], and what we may hope in the Last Things [Unit 4]. These are vital topics for your life and the ministry God has called you. You may be a worship leader in your church, an associate pastor, a Sunday school teacher, a biblical counselor, a homeschooling mom, or a faithful Christian who desires to understand the Word of God faithfully. No matter your current context or situation, this class is for you. I also recognize online students have busy lives between family responsibilities, vocation, and/or local church ministry. You have full access to this class and can complete it at your own pace.

Course Description

A careful and systematic study of Christian doctrines, covering the person and work of the Holy Spirit, salvation, the church, and last things. Three credit hours.

Course Objectives:

At the completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Articulate an evangelical understanding of the basic canon of systematic theology, specifically, the doctrines of the person and work of the Holy Spirit, salvation, the church, and last things.
Understand the practical implications of these doctrines for life and ministry.
Understand major opposing (non-evangelical) positions with reference to theological categories.
Analyze contemporary issues confronting the church and society from a theological perspective.
